Default Bronx and Harlem NEW YORK 1970'S AND 1980'S NOTHING COMES CLOSE!!!!

Nothing comes close to the bronx and harlem in the 1970's and 1980's. 7 to 8 story buildings crumbling down to the ground with 80 families trying to live in them and surronded by a trash dump. President regan toured the south bronx in the 80's and was shocked that people lived thier. He said it looked like germany and all of their bombed out buildings after
world war 2!!!

None of these north philly pictures or st.louis or anything even comes close. Now a days the ghettos look good compared to new york in those days (1970's and 1980's)!!!

The South Bronx and Harlem in the 1970's and 1980's

President Regan was right it does look like Berlin, Germany after World War 2!!! Nothing comes close to these pictures in American history for worst looking ghettos in the U.S. of all time. Nothing looked like New York in those days a War Zone. Chicago is a close second but dosen't look like New York in the areas of Harlem and South Bronx.

Philly,Detroit,Cleveland,St.Louis yeah right!!! HA HA HA!!!!

I have to agree. Take 611 up from the center city and drive as fast as you can, dodge bullets and try to get a glimpse of the boarded up crack houses. I saw one with "we sell babies" written on the side. "Shivers"

Ride threw the South Bronx, N.Y.C. and you will see 7 to 8 story buildings boarded up and about to crumble to the ground. Thier not all vacant families still are living in these buildings sometimes. 80 families trying to live in a 8 story building thats about to fall apart its not a pretty site.

One time i was heading up by Yankee Stadium and took a wrong turn. I was still on the highway when I saw on the entire side of a run down tall project building on about the roof level say:

"WE WILL KILL YOU"

On the entire side of the building. I don't even know if they can afford guns in the South Bronx maybe their killing with swords still!!!!

from my personal expirience

Urban city areas- low end of chicago. Probably the closest thing to the S. Bronx outside NYC back in the day (not at the same level but close enuff)

overall usa - the rural towns in west virginia. Those are crazy freaky. Esp at night
