Well, I never thought I would defend NYC, (like they need it), but NY is pretty green in recent years. And Central Park does offer more green than most major cities.

Seattle is a great city, but it can't compare to NYC in almost all categories. But then, what city can?

I see quite a few posters on City-Data certainly have an odd sense of humor.

Perhaps only to be challenged by native Seattleites, who also have a sense of humor, but also realize this is an unfair comparison.

The second city (slipping into irrelevance with its plummeting population and its second class culture) aka Chicago is much filthier than Seattle.

If clean and green are your sole requirements, you've failed miserably with the selection of Chicago.

Try Seattle.
