Blizzards are very rare and a blizzard really is not that bad either, 2 feet of snow is nothing, just up to your knees, it is not like we have 10 foot piles of snow blocking off roads. I have a contract with the landscaper, who plows in the winter, and he comes and plows my driveway if we get 3+ inches of snow. He is done in a few minutes, pull the car out of the garage, and I am off.

I love the tropical paradise of Florida, but snow can be very nice at the right time.

Exactly.....We're prepared for it and take care of it in a timely manner.

Also, it helps in terms of water sources, as they accumulate due to the snowfall. It isn't an accident that Upstate NY has a lot of fresh water.

It's important to separate NYC from the rest of NY when comparing, IMO. For me, I could never live in NYC. Too overly populated, expensive, rude people, etc. The Upstate is really beautiful, affordable, and the people are genuinely nice.

Having said that, I would still choose FL. My family and I have spent a lot of time there over the years and just love it.

Florida. I prefer warm weather and beaches all year around.

New York State is great too.
