Actually I found three condo projects here in Denver with some two bedroom/condos for $7000 monthly. I was very surpised to see that..They are a lot larger than those found in Manhattan though..

Fair enough. The only thing is that you have to be careful where you live in Inwood. At least with downtown around Tribeca, Soho, you aren't really near many bad areas.

Wow, it is so refreshing seeing a Chigoan spilling so much love for other places. That pretentiousness coming from a city with substandard roads, famously corrupt government and crime rates that top both LA and NYC is by the way one of the reasons I can't stand Chicago and Chicagoans. That second generations Midwestern royalty now looking down at everything close to its own roots.

Oh, so you are judging neighborhoods by how they look... That's pretty shallow. Anyways, I'll take lower Manhattan over anything else. I used to have lunches in that little corner restaurant and bar on the same block that Kennedy's use to live. Tribeca is incredible as it shares this small neighborhood feel with so many other lower Manhattan nabs. Tribeca is located close to Little Italy, Chinatown, Soho. It's simply a gem in the city of New York. The list of notable residents is also very impressive:
That's more celebrities that ever lived in the entire city of Chicago And yes, it is relevant as it shows how desirable the area is but also because the residents contribute to the neighborhood. For instance Robert De Niro founded one of the most interesting Film Festivals on the planet: Tribeca Film Festival.
Tribeca is also home to Stuyvesant High School, one of the best public schools in the city.

Inwood is one of the more dangerous areas of Manhattan. Looks can be deceiving, kind of like what dementor said. They're renovating some areas of the south Bronx to make it look nice around Yankee stadium, but it doesn't mean the crime is gone.
I grew up when Tribeca was nothing but dirty, smelly factories and warehouses. I don't think I would want to live in a converted factory, no matter how exclusive it is now.
But I don't want to live near a beach either. It's not about money really just personal preference.
