That's a good example, albeit a category I would consider minor in light of the areas in which Chicago ranks first or second. Anyway, what seminary was it? Not the one in Lombard?

Well that large swath of land on the south side is still Chicago. Chicago's city limits are not Ashland to the West and 35th street to the south...

Will people please stop listing TV shows as reasons for wanting to live in a city!

How does it have anything to do with quality of life!

Well, pretty much everyone I know who moved to Chicago cites as their reason: either "Married with Children", "ER", "Early Edition" or "Good Times". Personally, I moved here solely for Bozo the Clown.

What? Miami & Atlanta are not on that list. Honolulu, San Francisco, Boston, D.C, Chicago, New York & Seattle among those making the cut.

The Mayor of Los Angeles must have missed this big "World Mayors Meeting" and therefore didn't get to make his case. He was probably at the beach, surrounded by beautiful women with large breastatos...or something stupid like that.

For the sake of Los Angeles I don't think it's skyline sucks that bad. Yeas it is kinda depressing, but it's a major improvment from like whatever it was 5 or six years ago. L.A. has acutally added some new buildings in it's skyline as of 2008 2009 and there now visible in the skyline. Take a gander at this.

LA's skyline doesn't suck at all...it's actually very nice in my opinion. Is it NYC or Chicago? Hell no. But nobody in the United States compare to those cities. One could argue the only two other skylines that could compare with them are Hong Kong and Shanghai.

People live in Chicago because they want to. People live in LA because they want to. .
And because more poeople want to live in LA that in Chicago, LA is clearly a better place.

PS. Judging a city by its skyscrapers is really shallow.
