Default Florida versus Pennsylvania

Which state do you think has the friendlier people? Do you feel Pennsylvania's "rolling" topography is prettier than Florida's beaches or that one state has an advantage in quality of life issues...such as crime? Which state has the better cities?

pa has pittsburgh and philadelphia... two cities that are better than anything going on in FL...

PA is much better across the board unless you hate the cold and want to be at the beach all the time.

I'm going with Florida for several reasons

1) I dont like cold winters
2) Miami is funner than any city in PA
3) Florida is more diverse
4) People are more humble in FL

Anyone who uses 'funner' cannot be taken seriously.
People are more humble? What?

It's an opinion and there's no need to get upset. If I like Florida better than PA then thats my choice..Get over it.

PA, no contest. Low cost of living, 4 seasons, has the pretty Pocono mountains, fun water parks, skiing, has Philadelphia (a real city). I also find the people in PA much nicer than in FL.

No. No one was not listening to or getting upset about your opinion, they were saying that "funner" isn't a real word and therefore your opinion is brought into question. Your grasp of the English grammar is what devalues your opinion, not your opinion itself. Had you said, "Miami is MORE FUN than any city in PA," it would stand as a valid argument. However, using words that don't exist doesn't make it appear that you know what you're talking about. Also, how on EARTH are people more "humble" in Florida than in Pennsylvania? If anything, I would think that the materialistic nature of many of Florida's larger cities when compared to the "humble" lifestyle of much of PA (Pennsylvania Dutch?!) would be evidence to the contrary.

That being said, I go with Pennsylvania again and again and again. Philly is a great city and Pittsburgh is vastly underrated. I'd take those two cities over any Floridian town any day. Miami may be a very cool city, but it alone can't make me choose Florida over PA.

I go with Pennsylvania. Better people, culture, cities, and economy.
