I think its because Boston had a famous Irish mob while Phillys Italian mob was more prominate so Phillys Italian side got more attention than Bostons during the 70s-90s and Vise versa for the Irish.
Very true. The Italian "mob" in Philadelphia seems to be analogous to the Irish "machine" in Boston, at least historically.
And a king was Born in Boston, the only US city to hold such an honor.
