And the midwest is apart of the north

Chicago is apart of the midwest, which is the north

Maybe you should have said "Northeast vs South" if you did not want Chicago to be included

You do not think the south has a chance to win this poll do you? LOL

The south NEVER wins any poll. HAHA

Default Midwest means "north", too..

..pretty obvious. If we used your criteria, then Arkansas wouldn't be a southern state either, because it's too far west.

Are you going to tell Minnesota residents that they don't live in a northern state?

"North' means more than just "northeast"....

I don't feel "stuck" here in the winters. I don't mind them. Whether someone hates or likes winter, they usually enjoy spring.

Yes it is. The states of Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio all comprise the North Central United States, also known as the Midwest. The North is really not a region...it is further subdivided into the Midwest and Northeast. The West is the west to me...I don't apply the term north or south to either one.

went to Florida numerous times in the winter to Orlando, Spring Training Games, beach, etc., when she was a teenager. My older daughter (the one who lived here 4 months) and I stayed home every time. No desire to "escape winters".

Sorry, folks. But "North vs. South" and even warm vs cold climates have been done in the not too distant past (sometimes more than once).
