Default I prefer Eastern..

...because news/TV shows/sporting events are on at sensible times which correspond well with work and seasonal activities.

And , in truth, I enjoy watching NFL games in November and December in which the 2nd halves of games are played in complete darkness; it just adds to the excitement..
