Interesting thread. With all the summer showers FL gets, it would have to be a desert state like Arizona. I would have picked CA, but North CA I heard has a lot of Cloudy days.

Arizona is most def a Sunshine State,It's a desert, and I believe Phx receives the most annual sunshine, but a desert you expect it to be Sunny all year round,California right next to the ocean for sakes and La gets less rain then PHX.

california has MUCH better weather than FL, very mild, very sunny... FL doesn't have many true sunny days, they are mostly partly cloudy and it rains virtually all year round. FL is hot humid and violent, lots of strong thunderstorms, lots of tropical storms, lots of tornadoes, lots of lightning, almost full on constant humidity. FL has about a 3 month window where the weather is pleasant, other wise it is intolerable to anybody but natives who grew up there. California for the most part (where the population centers are) is pretty much sunny and room temperature year round. California has the largest mediterranean climate zone in this side of the world (correct me if I am wrong). I think there is a strong correlation in why people flourished in these areas... it is very hospitable to the human species.

I'd go with California or anywhere in the southwest.

Just to extrapolate...

mediterranean climates, best weather in the world. Also notice this is where the cradle of civilization originated from. Not too hot, not too cold, just right.

The mediterrenean is much hotter.

I often wonder why they classify us as Mediterrenean. Maybe cause of the similar rainfall?

Anyway, I have yet to go anywhere in the world with weather as nice as California.
