I was born and raised in NYC. Moved to Charlotte 10 years ago... interested in moving someplace new. I've been thinking about Columbus, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Memphis, Pittsburgh. I like city life... and mass transit... never learned to drive in NYC. Any suggestions?

From your choices Pittsburgh would be the best choice.

If you want to be near New York try Pittsburgh, if you want to be near Charlotte try Atlanta, but if you want to try something different go for it. All those cities are great.

If you like mass transit, Atlanta would be the obvious choice from your list.

Pittsburgh will offer more of an urban city feel and life that you are looking for.

I agree with Pittsburgh. But if not, then Atlanta. The other cities you really need to drive.

Since you never really learned to drive, I suggest a city with a strong mass transit system. Seems like Atlanta is the best of the bunch of the cities listed, but if you don't mind going back up north but not quite as far north, I'd suggest DC. Or for a totally different feel, go out west and try San Francisco or Portland. Or do the midwest and go with Chicago.

Atlanta is very unwalkable compared to Pittsburgh.

My point was that it had a better transit system.
