lol..... I can't believe this is even a comparison.... the saying "using an anvil to kill an ant" comes to mind.....
Orlando has 1 pro team (Magic) an arena football team and the UCF Knights for college.....
LA has 2 pro baseball teams, 2 pro basketball teams, 2 pro hockey teams.... USC, UCLA....
The only equality is that neither has a pro football team.... Orlando has a good excuse...too small and the Bucs are right down the road......what's LA's excuse?..... Bad fans? Bad owners?
San Diego's not too far down the road from LA either.
I think LA has the better weather because of no hurricanes. And also, Orlando is pretty much warm all year. At least LA has some weather variation and Orlando does not.
The only thing that Orlando is better than LA in is the housing cost. Let's remember Orlando is in Florida which is the south. The south is known for having rednecks and California is a more liberal, open minded state. I can say this because I've lived here for over 25 years. Let's also not forget that Florida is a conservative Republican state, which means it would be TOO conservative for me. Theme parks? Its pretty much even IMO.
I've heard drivers in Orlando are really rude and aggressive.
As for the NBA Finals, I think it is going to be Lakers in six games. Orlando has great three point shooters but not much else. As good as Dwight Howard has been, Orlando really does not have any other big men that can stop Pau Gasol or Lamar Odom unless they want to have Hedo Turkoglu try to defend them. Phil Jackson has been in this situation numerous times and after two consecutive losses in 2004 and 2008 I am sure his coaching should help put the Lakers in the win column. Orlando Magic do not have any one as good as Kobe Bryant. and this time, Kobe won't allow the Lakers to lose. And also, this Orlando team does not have three superstar players like Boston did. Lakers have two in Pau Gasol and Kobe Bryant while Orlando has only one in Dwight Howard. And Orlando does not have Jameer Nelson, who was huge for them during the season. Rashard Lewis, and Mikael Pietrus(I don't remember how the name is spelled) don't really have much of a game except for shooting from the outside.
Bottom line is that the Lakers are a better team overall. Lakers in six
How about "Disney Duel", "Theme Park Tilt", "Sunbelt Struggle", "Sunshine Series" and I'm all out of right now.
I like those.LOL. ESPECIALLY Sunbelt Struggle, and Sunshine Series. Or how about "Battle for I-10" ? I know Orlando's not on I-10, but Florida and Cali is.
There are redeeming qualities of metro L.A., which includes the beaches (Huntington Beach, Seal Beach, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach), as well as the San Gabriel and San Bernardino mountains, especially the Big Bear Lake area.
However, let's be real. L.A. is slummy in many areas, is filled with illegal aliens, the Spanish language is prominent in many areas, and the majority of the area is a big brown desert.
With Orlando, while it doesn't have a beach, you can be at one within forty five minutes. You also have all the theme parks, as well as true greenery. There's less of an issue with illegal aliens or slummy areas. Cost of living is also much better.

Hurricanes are a threat, but interior Florida rarely sustains lots of damage, nor is it most often hit.
LA is in a desert. It's brown as brown can be, unless you're within five to ten miles of the coast. If you're beyond that, you deal with scorching temperatures, no rain, and little vegetation.

L.A.'s weather variation is minimal. The interior areas of metro L.A. do enjoy variation, from mild to excessively hot.

While the housing costs are more reasonable since the housing downturn, the cost of housing in metro L.A. is still too high, and it was absurd the prices housing was going for in the L.A. area, when so much of it is a slum, relatively speaking.

You've got to be a kid, with this type of talking. Your beloved Hollywood perpetuated a stereotype, and obviously you believe it. The same stereotype could fit a percentage of the population in any region.
Your idea of "liberalism" is nothing more than social marxism. Such is nothing to be desired, and anyone who supports such doesn't give much thought to the nonsense of which they support. After all, such "liberal" thought and ideas are not sustainable, economically, culturally, or socially. Anyone who supports such looks like a truly ignorant person, in my opinion.

Florida is fairly middle of the road. Sure, it's more conservative than California, but anything is to the right of California, with the exception of Massachusetts. California's liberal ideas have really bankrupted that state.

The same could be said anywhere. I've seen much of the same in Atlanta, LA, or wherever.

I think that it'll be a Magic Sweep, not that I really care.
Of course I agree that it is a great post. And everything I said in that post is a fact. Some people are just too dumb to realize that. It is their loss. Thanks for agreeing with me. I appreciate any support
