This one isn't a fair fight. Birmingham has a leg up on Jackson in just about every category. A better comparison would be Jackson/Montgomery or Jackson/Mobile.

Jackson and Little Rock is really the best comparison. Both cities are almost identical to each other.

I've spent alot of time i both. They aren't really that different, one just has extremely big hills and better shopping options. I'd prefer Jackson. Jackson is going through a redevelopment phase and has a lot of construction going on http://www.downtown-jackson.com/inde...gs/development. I still wouldn't stay in either unless I just really had to.
