Battle of southern U.S. Beaches: North Carolina vs. South Carolina vs. Florida
These three Southern states (North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida) are renowned for their beaches, however, some people have more of a preference for one states beaches over the other. With this said, fellow City-Data.com forummers, which states beaches do you like (or love) the most? Why?

Personally, I love Florida's beaches the most, because of the variety and proximity to other beach locales within the same state.

All three have beautiful beaches. I would choose FL for variety. NC and SC don't have a travel channel Top 10 on there beaches.

Seconded. All three states are great for beaches but I love the way the Outer Banks are more natural and undeveloped. The Grand Strand of South Carolina is also a nice area and Florida of course has a huge amount of beaches.

Not sure if it was a travel channel thing, but the lowly Long Island everyone attacks here on CD was just rated for having 2 out of the top 10 beaches in America. I read it in the newspaper a couple of weeks ago so I am not sure if its what you are talking about or not.

No. There was a travel channel top 10 show dedicated to Florida's top 10 beaches.
