The Wakiki aquarium was really wonderful, especially their jellyfish exhibits. Nothing beats the Shedd's basement, which I believe is called "The Reef." For this you must pay extra, but to me, it is not worth going to unless you see all their beautiful tanks filled with ocean water fish. They also have a small room filled with all kinds of seahorses. Disney used to have a wonderful aquarium, but did not anticipate cold weather, so when the killer freeze came in, they lost almost everything--and did the most horrible remodeling job possible.

I loved Monterey and New Orleans--but Newport, KY really has a nice aquarium also. We now travel once or twice a year and the things we check out are the aquariums, the zoos and the art museums.

In fact I have seen most on the list above--but after awhile (pardon the pun) they all tend to swim together in my mind. I do think the Shedd's saltwalter fish are some of the best I have seen.

well the worst aquarium I have ever been to is the one in Washington, DC it is in the basement of the Dept. of Commerce and its not even the entire basement is a fourth of the basement I think the aquarium in the Memphis Zoo(that is like the most beautiful zoo ever) is nicer than that one and Memphis aquarium is so small they don't even advertise it. The Baltimore aquarium is pretty nice it has a jungle habitat on the top floor and and some other pretty cool things like they have monkeys and birds and the have a aquarium guide that makes a fish spit on your kids that was funny.........

Monterey & Chicago Shedd are the best, but I probably like Shedd better.
