The quality of life is much better in Austin/San antonio than Tampa/Orlando or even braggish Atlanta. Actually the city limits of Austin from house in far north Sa is only 56 miles

Because there are actually good career opportunities in the Texas cities versus the Florida cities that are consistantly ranked horrible as far as career opportunities.

I think that is subjective to the individual and his/her career. Nice sweeping generalization though...
Good thing im in a recession proof career. But FL is general is very easily effected by the economy. FL is horrible right now, but during a good economy, FL's job opportunity is pretty good, depending on your career. Has always been bad for young professionals though.
