Clubs in DC close too early at 2am. They kick people out at 1:45am Sunday-Thursday. Friday-Saturday they close at 3am. The nightlife in DC is about profiling and looking at each other. No real energy

I have to disagree. Also the 2am last call in DC is during the week. It's still 3 am like most cities on the weekends and those are the nights that count. You know it's funny I can't remember the last time I closed down a bar during the week. Most people in any city have to go to work so it's not going to be crunk at 2 am anyways. I mean I know I can't close things down at 2 and expect to be at work by 7:30 the next day. If I go out during the week it's for a quick drink and then back home. I rarely even hookup but usually that's the night to just collect phone numbers.

Anywho most cities have a 2 or 3 am last call. Only a handful don't. New York and Miami come to mind. I think LA has a 2am last call too. So I'm sorry a city's nightlife can't be solely determined by a last call that people who don't even drink vote on.

Vegas
Chicago
NYC
Miami
New Orleans
Parts of Atlanta

All have last calls past 2am. Your city cant have a great nightlife if i'm being thrown out at 1:45am because of last call. Most cities people dont even enter the nightclub until 1am. 45 mins later is closes and you are calling that great??? Being able to go party at 4am determines if a city has a good nightclub.
