I know you probably dont want to hear this but I think of Ft. Worth as part of Dallas, I know its its own city but its just too damn close to Dallas.
Thats cause it just booooomed to damn fast!
Thats waht people think about Rio Rancho, that its Albuquerque. Haha.
Soon enough, Rio Rancho will pass Albuquerque in the future. No doubt about that.. They have the land.

So because Dallas and Ft. Worth are 30 miles appart, that automatically makes Fort Worth appart of Dallas? Then by that, Oakland and San Jose shouldn't have been mentioned either.
Oakland is only seperated from San Francisco by two long bridges and San Jose is pretty close to that city as well..... and yet they're on the list?
Albuquerque may be one of the fastest growing cities in America, but it's still not all that big. The city's metro area has 845,000. The population of just Fort Worth by itself is closer to 800,000. Albuquerque is 35th in rank, we're 17th.
But I will say pop culture wise, Albuquerque has an advantage.
BTW, it took YEARS for Fort Worth to get what it has now. There was also a time when F.W. was the crime capital of the U.S.
But it's safe to say the city has recovered from that.....

Ft. Worth is pretty underrated since Dallas acts like they're the only city in the metro.
What does Albuquerques population have to do with anything? This is an underrated cities thread, not a population one.

I know it's not a population thread.
But I included population for people who think that Fort Worth is just this small, town/suburb that's not urban at all. And trust me, there are ALOT of people out there who think that....

Fort Worth will always be the shadow of Dallas. Thats all there is to it. Get hurt but you know its the truth.

I know that. That's not what makes me mad about it....
Why is it that when we tell you everything about the area and how Fort Worth has its own identity, you still continue to say otherwise?
That's why we're in the shadow of Dallas.... because OTHER people want to keep it that way.
When you ask alot of Dallasites about this, they'll say that Fort Worth belongs to Dallas. And why WOULDN'T they say that? It makes they're city look bigger and better than what it is. People will say that if it wasn't for Dallas, Fort Worth wouldn't be what it is. But they WON'T tell you that, if it wasn't for Fort Worth or Arlington, Dallas wouldn't be what it is, either.
And that's another thing, why would you take their word for it but not ours?
But hey, I wouldn't expect you to understand, because most people don't live in an area where there's more than one "Top 25" city within 50 miles of eachother, or the old, long rivalry that goes along with it.
Portland, Oregon ; under rated and seldom mentioned in the forum.
