yes, yes ive seen them all before. I never said BoA dominated Charlotte anywhere, although it did pre wachovia. But like i said, most of those buildings could be in suburban Atlanta, or DC, or LA. Hearst tower is...interesting, but ugly. Charlottes a lot newer and it is nice and all. But There's something about it that is just too sterile looking for me. And i don't really like its location. Baltimore's skyline is pretty, but not the best, either. Towards the back of the skyline it gets a bit uglier with the boxy 60s and 70s, but its still nice overall. Charlotte has a great skyline actually, but its skyscrapers and high rises don't blend in a way that feels urban to me.
You didn't say this? "Legg is the tallest, but is nowhere near dominating of the skyline as the BoA." I think you did. I copied and pasted it from your earlier post.
And I guess you could say the same thing about ANY building in ANY city - it could be in any other city, suburb or wherever. That comment doesn't make sense to me...you don't like the skyline or the buildings because they could be in Atlanta, L.A. or D.C. That seems like a compliment to me, but I'm sure you didn't mean it to be a compliment.
The main point of my response to you is that all of Charlotte's buildings DO NOT look the same. You did make the statement that the buildings look alike, right? They don't look anything alike.
Baltimore's street level blows Charlotte away. However, Charlotte's skyscrapers are most certainly superior. Since this is a SKYLINE thread, Charlotte wins IMO. Baltimore's downtown is more urban, but Charlotte has a MUCH better skyline.
I've been there and you can roll a bowling ball down some of the streets
I've been to many cities that you can roll a bowling ball down SOME streets. That doesn't mean the city's entire downtown is dead. Would you like to see some more videos? I've got plenty!!!
And the next time you are in Charlotte, try rolling a bowling ball at Strike City inside the Epicentre complex. That's the only place bowling balls are rolled uptown nowadays.
Is Lake Norman on the Charlotte's waterfront? NOPE!
