There's a small town in Virginia called Urbanna. The best Rappahannock oysters you can find. Oh and the Chesapeake Bay blue crabs ain't bad either.

Seattle and San Francisco have nice food but you can really get that kind of food (Salmon mostly) in other cities like Portland and Anchorage. For the best seafood you have to go to cities that have unique cuisine that can't be found anywhere else like Honolulu and New Orleans.

good post... agree and already posted n.o. I've been out in many of the others named, still... New Orleans is easily better in my mind and experience than chi/nyc/boston/sf/miami w/ exception of hawaii if you are going for sushi.

Boston and New Orleans come to mind immediately. But quite honestly the most memorable seafood dinners I ever had was in Murrell's Inlet, SC. Spectacular!
My current fave is the Old School Diner in Harris Neck, GA (near Savannah).

Baltimore has the most delicious crab cakes hands down. They are the size of a baseball. NJ also have GREAT seafood also.
