Those of you who voted for LA: What makes LA safer?
It is one of the safest largeest city in the country it just people rather ignore obvious facts and think of LA as one big crime ridden ****land with no end.
Sorry, I actually did miss your post. Your past posts have not really been that bad. I suppose what I'm saying is more directed towards posters like Jay100 and LA Nightmare over on the LA/NY influence thread.

Except the one very obvious fact is that NYC has a lower crime rate than LA. This really shouldn't even be a debate really. LA still has a relatively low crime rate but NYC's is lower, it is what it is.

People are voting for LA either because they're from LA, live in LA, live close to LA, or they don't know what they're talking about.
I think the latter sums it up. I'm pretty sure the only people who voted LA as being safer are the few NYers who think its cool to live in a more dangerous city. The reality of which city is more dangerous isn't even a contest. But a few NYers here get butthurt if everyone isn't scared to death of their city. I believe that might have been the whole purpose of this thread actually, but if it was it blew up in the OP's face. And it gets extremely tiresome having to hear retards try and say LA or the West Coast is soft/NY hoods are so hard and CA has no ghettos, blah blah blah. Either way, I think most folks here know the reality, and this poll actually sucks for LA. I don't think any Angelenos are taking any pride in this fact. But if there are any that are, I'd understand since they've likely been enduring a lot of this kind of talking down from insecure NYers who think high crime is something to take pride in. I'm glad there are only a few who seem to think like this on here.
