The list I posted was of cities with a population of at least 10,000.
As for the areas with the most rain, Wynoochee Lake, WA, northeast of Aberdeen and nearby Quinalt Lake, receive an average 135-137" of rain per year.
A small town called Valsetz, in Oregon, averages almost 130" per year.
People forget the PNW. It's still the wettest region of the lower 48, with some of the mountain slopes receiving over 120" a year.
Very true. Laurel Mountain, at an elevation of 3,589 feet, in Oregon, has the record for the most rain ever to fall in a single year in the United States with 204.12" recorded in 1996.
It is estimated that 180-200" of rain a year fall on the rainiest locations of Oregon's Coast Range at the 2,000- to 4,000-foot levels.

Here are some of the wettest locations:
137.21" Quinault Ranger Station, WA
127.71" Valsetz, OR
104.18" Honeydew, CA
101.91" Mt. Washington, NH
91.72" Lake Toxaway, NC
Yeah, the Quinault River runs throught the west slope of the Olympic Mountains, which a large part of which is a temperate rain forest, hence the massive amounts of rain. However just over on the other east side of the Olympic Mountains, a large rain shadow means that towns like Port Townsend and Sequim only average about 15-18 inches of rain a year(for perspective, Los Angeles averages 15 inches a year).
The coast range through Oregon into Northen Califonia gets a lot of rain as well..However, very few people live right in the mountains..Valsetz is a logging ghost town..The more populated towns on the coast get a lot of rain, but not as much as the massive amounts in the surrounding mountains.
The difference between the Gulf Coast and the PNW area is that the gulf coast receives lots of rain at one time while the PNW receives lots of ran over time.
Cookeville, Tennessee has been real bad this year when comes to rain. The weather channel has said we have got 5 feet of rain this year.
