New Jersey, New York City, and Philadelphia have my favorite accents, especially the Italian American accents.

All I know is that when I go to the South or Midwest, the girls love the Boston accent. Love it.

A woman I met from Alabama had the most pleasant accent I'd ever heard.

The PNW because we don't have one. Ours is as close to the stereo-typical "American" accent as you can get. I hate southern and eastern accents, you all sound uneducated and fake.

I have to disagree, there is a noticeable accent in the PNW.
Up here in Spokane, there is definitely a dialect/accent that is noticeable and easily imitated.
You think you don't have an accent, but if you were to ask somebody from another part of the country, I think they might disagree with you. I feel as though I don't have an accent (Southern CA), but I know I sound different to people in/from other regions.
The supposed "General American Accent" (according to a study) occurs in a oval shaped line going from Lincoln, NE east to Peoria, IL. I would say that I agree, based on people I've met from that region.

The PNW "accent" is as close to general America as you can get. Also, I have never been accused of having an accent anywhere I've been. I don't even notice any difference anywhere on the west coast. I live most of the year in southern CA and I've never once thought "wow these people talk differently".

Differences in accents don't have to be profound, they can be quite subtle. But, I don't doubt your experiences.
I even notice a difference between Southern and Northern CA accents.

If you don't talk like me, you got an accent! Doesn't matter where you're from!

Besides my own (NY/NJ)
I like the Chicago accent
Any accent is better than no accent.
