So the two smallest states are Rhode Island and Delaware and I feel like the both get overshaddowed by the larger states in the Union. However they are both part of the original 13 states, both full of history, both on the Atlantic, both have high density and most of the population reside in the northern part of each state.

so which is it... The First State or the Ocean State..and why?

Post pics!

Delaware by Far! Its such a unique place. Incredibly underrated with so much to offer. I love Delaware.

Rhode Island is very nice though, and will obviously win the poll

I always found it funny when people make fun of del though. The Other day i was at an event and they asked if anyone was from delaware and one or two people in the crowd yelled and he said welcome to the united states

Rhode Island has a nicer landscape in my opinion. RI also has Nicer beaches, better cities, lower crime, and better weather.
When i say "better weather" i'm talking about winters that snow more than sleet in the season.

So Rhode Island is my vote.

I always enjoyed vacationing in Rhode Island. From the quaint downtown of Westerly to the Newport cliff walk to the free concerts along the fire lantern-lit river in Downtown Providence I'm always going to be "Rhode Island Dreamin!" Being in such a socially progressive part of the country most certainly has its advantages as well (I'd rather have MA and CT as my neighbors than PA).

Little Rhody beats the pants off of Delaware- "The small wonder" Delaware has nothing to compare to Newport and Providence.

I think they are often 2 of our under appreciated states.....I like them both...but Providence helps to sway your opinion.....EQUAL!
