It's unlike any other place in the country. The culture is different, the people are different. It's also built around a bunch of volcanoes.

I think San Francisco is a better city, but I can't vote against Honolulu. Hawai'i is just way too cool for me to ever say no to it.

I love Hawaii, I have about 200 relatives there, I go there about 10 times a year for various reasons and I know Honolulu very well.

Its gorgeous, but I wouldn't prefer to live there full time over The Bay Area.

Im polynesian and most of my family immigrated there to go to school at Brigham Young University in Hawaii and many remain there. They are evenly split between Honolulu and the North Shore area.

Most of us now live on the mainland. I always have a blast in Hawaii but it seems the longest I can stay before I want to come home is 2 weeks or so. LOL
