Yeah Houston & LA go neck & neck though Houston is slightly taller on average. It has the advantage of not being in such an earthquake prone area plus its flat so the skys the limit in Houston.

There were rumors awhile back about a Dubai developer building the tallest building in the US right smack dab in Uptown Houston. It would look odd, but hey I'm all for it, that wouldn't be the only building in Houston that has ever stood out like a sore thumb.
