So every gas station is having this.

Also isnt the question NOW?

As has been stated many times, the future s unknown, regardless those single homes 50 ft away will still remain

Almost every building has an underground parking garage in D.C. Why wouldn't it be easier to park under buildings in D.C. versus on the street in Boston or in the few parking above ground structures. Downtown Boston is so tiny it's going to be hard to find parking. And Boston doesn't have the infrastructure D.C. has when it comes to building capabilities like parking garages.

Boston has 100 less buildings than D.C. so you can put that structural density argument to rest. D.C. has way more building simple as that.

It is obvious no place does, but I actually meant street parking in DC, have always found DC friendlier to the driver than is DC. Why does DC need parking in the first place though, you came off suggesting no one drives earlier (or maybe that was Finest, sometimes i get confused)

Umm no, Boston is more structually dense regardless of height

Though it is fairly obvious what is most dense

Yes, the development plans are going through now! NOW! N....O...W! Do you have any idea how many buildings are under construction around D.C.? As long as our boulevards are urban canyons, away from downtown, the single family homes can remain. Urban Canyon boulevards is what I care about at least outside the core.

linear urbanity, ok. Though I will agree this is quite admirable and DC does a great job with TOD

So EVERY gas station is currently being retrofitted?

DC development reminds me of what is going on in Cambridge these days, especially around Kendall Sq

According to Skyscraperpage.com

D.C. has:

Buildings: 435

Highrises: 336

And most of those are all connected in the same massive area instead of scattered around the city.

Boston has:

Buildings: 332

Highrises: 310

Check Skyscraperpage.com for the information yourself.

KIDPHILLY= worthless opinion
MDALLSTAR= Proved facts

So...other than "what you believe to be true"....where can I find factual information that proves what you are saying. I have shown you factual information and you have shown me your worthless opinion.

No not all the gas stations. Just the ones Joe Mamo want to redevelop which he says is most of them. Should discourage car ownership also which will be nice.

Here is one for you, why is DCs population density half of Boston? why do less people live DT when compared to Boston, one would expect it would have nearly double the volume since it has the larger footprint.

On the cities mode of transpo is very similar actually

When did Boston's density surpass SF? DC is right under 10,000 ppsm. Boston is at 20,000? Hmmm.
