Hi im from Chicago and am sick of the weather. When i get out of high school i want to pursue a career in Law, probably as a lawyer like my parents. I want to live in either LA or Miami. I've been to Miami 3 times and loved it but i want to here about LA. Which one is best for singles and starting a career? Also which city is cheaper?
If you are going to make the move looking for the good weather... You better go to LA. SoCal/Hawaii are probably the only place worth actually paying more for, for the weather if you are already in a big nice city like Chicago. Also you probably owe yourself a visit to Miami in the middle of August so you realize what you are getting into. I would personally go to LA if you had to though... Miami is definitely cheaper. International law is probably good in both cities, la better for entertainment/ip. Plus much better universities there with ties to them.
It depends If you loved Miami, then go for it...
LA can be just as sick as Miami sometimes so it really doesn't matter... except you probably have better weather in LA sometimes and wider options (larger city)

Miami is cheaper than LA. LA is a much bigger metro area. If you like Miami because of the water and you actually like to swim in the beach Miami has the edge as the water in LA is cold and polluted with human waste.
The LA metro are is just a lot larger than Miami, once you leave Miami and go inland it get hick and red necky real fast.
Miami is full of Caribbean culture you wont find much of in LA. LA is filled with Mexican culture which you wont find much of in Miami.
Both places have big ports so if your into international trade law you would be good in either place. Both places have tons of crime so if you into criminal law you would have plenty of work in both places too.
LA is more culture more diverse more happening and has so many cool cities in it. You get beaches, mountains, valleys, basins, and everything. You won't go wrong in LA.
