A few people mentioned Charlotte. But I rarely see Charlotte being attacked, except for a few Atlanta posters now and then. In fact I have seen postive reinforcement for Charlotte including people posting some nice pictures of the skyline, forests and hills now and then. I do not pretend to read every thread so maybe I am missing some negative posts.
I try to defend Miami!
It's a different feel to the rest of the U.S. I wonder why so many people in CD dislike it?

In ALL honesty though, if I HAD to choose ONE city, I would say Miami. When you even have other Southerners bashing you, then it's pretty bad. EVERYONE including Southerners, seem to hate Miami on C-D. When I say Miami isn't southern others say it is. But Miami would be the 1st Southern city to be thrown under the bus by other Southerners. It's like Miami is Southern only when it's convenient.

Yeah, if I had to pick ONE city it would probably be Miami. Incidently I did defend Miami once or twice myself, when I mentioned the city has importance as a banking and business center for Latin America.

It is true that people are more likely to read the threads that most interest them. So a person from State "X" for instance is going to read more threads about State X than most other people. And they are going to notice the bad threads more --- and say why is everyone picking on my state and cities all the time!

I think the only reason Houston seems to take more criticism is because it's talked about more often than Dallas, therefor it seems like it's hated more. For example, Orlando and Miami are probably hated about the same on this board but because Miami gets more attention it seems like it takes more heat (no pun intended).

Miami is just the city to hate. The scapegoat for the South, The doormat for the West, and the Toilet for the North.

I don't know... even within Texas, Houston seems to be the city least understood. Dallas and especially Austin do a really good job with their PR and public reputation... note I'll say this is reputation, not necessarily reality. Houston seems to catch the most crap by outsiders even within other parts of Texas, but also be the place people are most pleasantly surprised with after moving to.

Well I've always stated that Miami is more southern than what people want to believe, but I'm usually alone on that statement.

Honestly, many Texans hate Austin. The two biggest cities they love are Dallas and Houston. South Padre is also a favorite too for obvious reasons.
