I saw NJ was one the places you listed and I loved it. I'm actually trying to move back now. What I liked most was the fact that it is a equally diverse city (no majority of race there as I can tell). People are friendly. Nice Malls. Nice neighborhoods. Houses and Renting is fair. And it's just big enough. It's not too small (Blink your eye and you could drive right through it) or too big (like New York). The only other place I'd consider on your list is Texas, Austin or Killeen.
Forgot about New Brunswick!

Arizona- Phoenix

California- Berkeley/San Francisco, Sacramento, or Death Valley

Florida - Tampa, Palm Beach/W. Palm Beach (as soon as I turn 6-0, which won't be for a long long time, goodbye Northeast)

Hawaii (but that's not real America)- uh, Honolulu

New Jersey- Princeton (and probably nowhere else)

Oregon- Portland (where else?)

Texas- Austin or Houston (not that I would want to live in TX)

How is the weather in Destin in the winter? I have a chance to relocate their with my job but I want warm weather and heard it gets very cold there in the winter. Can anybody tell me what the lows are and how long they last? I also have a job lined up in Port Charlotte and know the weather there is nice year round but also alot farther from my family. Help me make a decision.
