Of all the choices I have, which one feels like the most different from the rest of the country and could survive on its own.

As far as cultural/identity, my gut reactions are the Pacific Northwest (We are seen as liberal loonies) and Texas (nation of Texas).

As far as economically or politically, I couldn't say. Maybe California.

Texas and California both could economically and politically.

CA could definitely survive on its own, though I know many of us wouldn't mind TX being its own country.
