Jersey has beaches, mountains, and Philly and New York a short drive away. California has beautiful scenery but it is very spread out. Florida, is flat ugly and hot, with no change of seasons, I would never live there. Florida is a great place to take a 3 day beach vacation in the middle of winter, offers nothing else.
NJ, then CA, then FL. I'm no fan of Florida. Like somebody else mentioned, it's a good place for a long weekend getaway in January/February. Otherwise it's a flat, cultural wasteland. I will say, I have never been on the Gulf Coast though, which I hear is pretty decent. (But again, only foir a visit).
Whoever made this thread was basically setting Florida up to get bashed even more, dont you know on city-data the in thing to do is bash Florida. I was born and raised in New Jersey so ofcourse I still love it, I've never been to California, but I think Florida is too exaggerated on this site, "its so flat and ugly and its so hot"
