Precisely, and I don't know how this turned into a Texas vs. Georgia debate when clearly it's about the three cities in the OP's poll. And, contrary to popular belief, Atlanta holds it own quite well. It's probably better than Houston while being less of a sports town than Dallas.

Ahmad "Batman" Carrol -DB for the New York Jets
James Davis- RB for Clemson last year, just got drafted by the Browns
Adam "Pacman" Jones- CB for the Dallas Cowboys and the NFL's resident goon
Jamal Lewis- RB for the Browns, even though we despise him in SW, he still is a good talent
Dwight Howard- Center for the Orlando Magic
Jarvis Hayes- used to play G for the Washington Wizards
Khalled Vaughn- Clemson, then played some for the NY Giants
Nigel Vaughn- Clemson, but he really is known for starting that infamous Clemson-U. of South Carolina brawl a few years ago
Just to name a few..............
And this is just during my years 1995-2002 playing, there are plenty who came before and plenty more playing now. Also this is just southwest Atlanta, just one area among many in Georgia that are recruiting hot beds. Some others are Dekalb County, Cobb County, Especially Gwinnett County, and Lowndes County in south GA.
True, especially when you compare their first season to their previous seasons. They definitely improving. People underestimate the Texans.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Texans won the AFC South. They can still sneak up on some teams and I just don't see Jacksonville or Indy improving from last year. Tennessee will be the challenge.
Atlanta wins the College Football Hall of Fame from South Bend over Dallas!!Another feather in the hat of a "so-called" worst sports city.
Good point, but I think that the OP was referring to sports towns as cities where the local professional teams have a very loyal and passionate local fan base. Atlanta fails in this area miserably. It's very true that Atlanta does a great job in hosting major sporting events and it's also true that people are very passionate about college football here--but most people maintain their loyalty to their alma mater and hometown professional teams.
Out of the the three I believe that Dallas is the best by far given the rabid support for the Cowboys and the ever-increasing support for the Mavs and Stars.
^ Although Houston being terrible in both this year. Astros are a LOT better than the Rangers.
But all this is, IMHO.
You should definitely add the NFL to Houston. The Texans fanbase is just ready to explode with one good season.
And I think this playoffs is proof that Atlanta is a horrible professional sports basketball town...at least right now. The Hawks have had terrible support, even during the season, and they're a good team (or so we thought).
I'd say Dallas and Houston are about tied, with Atlanta last.
