Both Fantastic. But The George Washington looks better at night and is double decked; even though it was not designed as such, an impressive feet, that the strcture was so "overbuilt".

The setting of the Golden Gate Bridge far surpasses The George Washington's setting, however...Better mountain backdrop

But I go with the George Washington Bridge (would look better in San Francisco though).

You realize we're talking about the BAY BRIDGE, not the Golden Gate Bridge, right?

Theyre 2 very different bridges...

The Bay Bridge is a double-decker too. I love how the towers of the GW are lit up--looks artistic.

Anyhow, Some of our busiest freeways lead to the Bay Bridge

The Bay Bridge Toll Plaza in Oakland is one hectic place during commute times--

Coincidentally, The Bay Bridge is the Western End of Interstate 80--whose Eastern End is all the way in New Jersey near NYC.

Bay Bridge, I just think it's better looking with a much better setting. Plus when the new eastern span is completed it will be even better. Do you have any pics of what the new span? But I really do like the look of the towers of the GWB and it has a nice setting as well being located by the Palisades.

I hate the design(its growing on me tho), but heck its either that or the whole thing falls in the next earthquake. Construction is coming along--even though its billions overbudget.

Here's what its supposed to look like at the tower when its done before they tear down the old one.

but here's where it is now...

The Bay Bridge is closing for 5 days next week--so they can put important pieces in place. Its a huge deal for local traffic--good thing its during Labor Day Weekend.

Anyone visiting should come in either from the San Mateo Bridge or Golden Gate--or be smart and take BART.
