Default Texas vs. Florida vs. California!

What state would you prefer to live? Include factors like economy, demographics, weather, beaches, and an overall place you would feel like you could live for the rest of your life. What state offers the best, yet affordable housing, jobs etc. I want to keep this thread going.

Its a tie between Florida & California but I'm leaning towards Florida because of the extreme heat and things to do, Texas isn't bad though, I like it actually.

I don't know about living in these states for the rest of my life because I like a change in scenery every now and then (I'm overdue for a change now).

California hands down with Florida far behind.

Nothing against Florida, it just doesn't attract me at all.
It's too hot/humid, it has boring topography, and it has a lack of culture for my taste.

I've never been to CA, but I'd probably rank it up with TX due to the things I've heard.

FL is ok.
