Here's the book in case anyone is interested. I'm sure it's a great coffee table book.

Amazon.com: Time Out The World's Greatest Cities (Time Out Guides) (9781846701412): Editors of Time Out: Books

Time Out is really well respected and highly read across the world BTW. I always like the fact that they really know their cities. Their travel guides are the best and their magazine is unprecedented if you are interested in weekly going ons.

I thought the exact opposite... Chicago Reader is easily better than Timeout for instance...
Timeout is the maxim of what is going on...

Good to know a credible source claims this. Better than Forbes

I agree, now people would not say that The world's greatest city? - Time Out Travel is not a credible website.

I don't know anyone that reads the Chicago Reader anymore. There is a reason they have to give it away for free. Time Out is far better.

Village Voice in NYC...also much better than time out.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I'm still trying to figure out why NYC and London are only rated 9 in the "world status" category. What rates 10, then? Nothing?

Agreed. The "world status" ranking was a bit odd. Wonder what the methodology, # of subscriptions perhaps?

LOL. And Chicago is GANGSTERS.

(Although, by now, Chicago might be Oprah or Michael Jordan... one can only hope.)
