I voted for NY since it is my native state. However, after living in Florida, I would move to anywhere in NJ in a heartbeat after here.

I would too but I'm a New Yorker at heart. I like the fact that Jersey has the shore, Atlantic City and no taxes on clothes LOL!

Hey I would rather live in Jersey than to live in 80 percent of the United States.

Yes. Athough I would rather live in my native state of NY where my kids are, I would not cry a river to live in NJ. It is a very NICE state.

NJ. Most of NY State is much too far from the City for regular commuting/traveling there.

So its bad that New York State, besides having New York City and its suburbs, also has large areas of rural land and small cities & towns?

Last edited by LINative; 09-16-2009 at 01:01 AM.. Reason: added cities

It is hard to say, since NJ is a big state in terms of population, but is super tiny. Where as NYS, is big in population and size.

Both states have their own feel to them, but I narrow it down to this:

There is no way, I would live in Upstate NY. Sorry, Buffalo and Albany!

As for the Downstate area, obviously, NYC, is doing to dominate.

NJ is roughly broken down into North and South. North is obviously in NYC's backyard, and the same would be said about South Jersey and Philadelphia.

If I have to make a choice, I would choice NJ, buy a little. Simply because, No matter where I am, for the most part, I have either NYC or Philly to play in ( or both ), and it is relativily easy to get there in comparison to NYC or Long Island.

One can't also beat the school system's in most towns, low crime, and various sites like the Shore, Skylands, or parks and museaums.

Come to think of it, Jersey could be seen as a little slice of heaven. If only it weren't so darn exspensive...
