Lots of cities think they're like Paris, but which one really is most like that shimmering jewel of North-Central France.

Asheville, the Paris of the South

Chicago, the Paris of the Prairie

Pittsburgh, the Paris of Appalachia

San Francisco, the Paris of the West

Detroit, the (other) Paris of the West

El Paso, the Paris of the Southwest

Kansas City, the Paris of the Plains

Of U.S. cities, Washington, D.C. resembles Paris the most but it doesn't have the scale and density. New York City is the only city that has the density and scale of Paris. Also, it is a similar financial, fashion and food capital.

So, if you took Washington, D.C. and made it much larger and densely populated like New York City, then that would be the closest thing you would probably get to Paris in the U.S.

I will say that London is more like Paris by far than any U.S. city. But even that is pretty different.

None of the above. Even if some of these cities shared some similar characteristics it's still very little on the grand scale of things. Like NYC, Paris is on a higher level than all these cities.

El Paso or Kansas City should've been removed and New Orleans should've been put instead.

Probably a bit of DC and a bit of San Francisco and a whole lot of neither.

None of them
The closest in urbanity in the US is NYC (which actually feels more urban and busy than Paris), but all the cities mentioned aren't even close, even SF.
Paris has so many landmarks and monuments, the cities in the new world cannot compete.

Of all the cities in the US, DC looks the most like Paris visually.
