I voted Denver because I've already spent a good chunk of my life living in Cleveland before moving on. I've visited Denver a couple of times, and I think I might like to try living there at some point... in fact, it's near the top of a short list of cities I might consider moving to. I could really see myself living in Denver's Capitol Hill area... I can't think of a neighborhood in Cleveland that quite compares. And I think Denver has a livelier downtown and better weather -- lower humidity in summer, winter has snow and cold snaps but not so consistently harsh and dreary as in Cleveland. No lakefront, but there are mountains close by. Only thing I might not like about Denver is it's pretty isolated from other big cities, but I think I could deal with that.
Tougher call than most people would think really, but Denver has the edge. Denver has a better downtown, the Rocky Mountains in its back yard, less decay and depression, and the best urban hood between the two cities (Capital Hill). Denver has also been the much more successful city in creating new development and positive energy. That being said Denver falls short of Cleveland in many areas. Denver is very isolated, is pretty generic outside of downtown and its core neighborhoods, lacks greenery, has no large water body, has weaker cultural amenities and traditions, and does not have older suburbs with character to the extent Cleveland has.
Which city do you like better? Any categories? Cleveland or Denver?
Sorry, but this is far too generic. Please don't do "any category" and leave it at that. List a specific thing or more than one thing that you want to compare between the two cities.
