I'm looking at these 3 cities for a possible relocation. I have never been to any of them. How do these city's stack up to one another in these category's?
Safety
Fun / cool factor
Attractiveness
Friendliness
longevity (time it takes for a city to grow old on you)
Making new friends when your an outsider and don't do church.
Redneck / Hillbilly trouble maker factor
The reason I picked these cities is based on the weather and access to Whitewater Rivers. (To bad they don’t have any steelhead fishing rivers)
I am also looking at Charlotte even though its not close to the rivers (other then NWC)

Safety: not sure, but that's something pretty easy to find out.
Fun/cool factor: depends on what you're into. If you like college sports, then it's Knoxville. Otherwise, I'd put Asheville or Greenville first.
Friendliness: not sure
Longevity: not sure
Making new friends as a non-church goer: Asheville easily. It's the most liberal city out of the bunch.
Redneck trouble-maker factor: don't understand that one
Safety - Asheville, mainly b/c it's smaller.
Fun / cool factor - Greenville/Asheville tie.
Attractiveness - Greenville, barely beating Asheville.
Friendliness - again, tie with G'ville and Asheville.
longevity (time it takes for a city to grow old on you) not sure.
Making new friends when your an outsider and don't do church. Knoxville - cause it's bigger. OR Asheville (more liberal).
Redneck / Hillbilly trouble maker factor - umm, not Asheville. Have to go with Knoxville.[/list]
fun/cool goes to Asheville because its a tourist town.
attractiveness again to Asheville
Longevity I would have giving to Knoxville because its older and bigger.
safety i would think the smaller and not under the spotlight Greenville would be the safest.
Then again, I should point out, I've never been to any of these city's.
Asheville: Pretty
Knoxville: Needs a name change Greenville: Soon to be Charlotte exurb
Or an Atlanta exurb...Greenville is a little over 100 miles from each.
1. Asheville...beautiful, progressive, great arts community
2. Knoxville...UT, beautiful setting, World's Fair city
3. Greenville...pretty downtown parks and fountains
