Atlanta and Charlotte are not on the same level. Anybody who has visited each city can see that. Atlanta is on the level of Houston, Dallas, & Miami. Charlotte is on the level of Jacksonville, Tampa, Raleigh, & Orlando in the south.

Southeastern cities total amount of construction in 2007.

1. Atlanta 13.9 billion
2. Miami
3. Orlando
4. Charlotte
5. Augusta 5.01 billion
6. Jacksonville
7. Raleigh
8. Tampa
Augusta gets high ranking for growth

Augusta area on top 10 list for new construction

Oh my God dude, what in the world does Augusta have to do with this topic? I understand you're proud of your city, but stay on topic and stop with the shameless plugging where it's not warranted.

Damn, we need a C-D daycare up in here.

Are you related to Charlotte rep? Charlotte and Atlanta being on two totally different levels is not even debatable, it's a fact. I understand that you're young and you love Charlotte and all, but come on let's be real. You don't even know that Atlanta has NASCAR and Hockey lol. The Metro has Arena football as well. Do your research buddy.

Or do you just have no clue what you're posting anymore? And in your original post, Augusta was highlighted in red. If all you wanted to do was show that Atlanta has more construction than Charlotte, you could have cut the list off after Charlotte. But of course, your hometown wouldn't get any shine if you did that.

Don't waste your time. If he thinks Atlanta "looks old" and is thus somehow lower than Charlotte, then he has no choice but to think the same thing of our nation's greatest urban centers like NYC, Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, etc. It just makes the teeny-bopper's position look even more ridiculous.

Yes, Atlanta has the MLB Atlanta Braves AND the AAA Gwinnett Braves...and the NHL Atlanta Thrashers, the USL Atlanta Silverbacks, the AFL Georgia Force, and the WNBA Atlanta Dream - in addition to the 125,000 seat Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Atlanta also has 19 Cheesecake Factories. We win.
