And I'd still rather live there than Florida.

I'd pick New Jersey now and Florida when I retire.

Haha, I have no idea how anybody can claim that NJ is "a boring state", with a straight face.

How can any state that has mountains, beaches, NFL/NBA/NHL teams, and access within MINUTES to 2 of America's largest cities (one of them being the most famous city in the WORLD) .... be considered boring?

And compared to Florida?

Other than beaches, what does Florida seriously offer?

I am not going to get into another which is better thread since it all comes down to personal tastes but you say what does Florida offer besides beaches.

Lets just pull a few from what you say Jersey has to offer. NFL teams, Florida has 3. NBA teams, Florida has 2. NHL teams, Florida has 2. And you forgot MLB, Florida has 2.

And since this is comparing states I think mentioning cities within the state would be in order. Florida has Miami, Orlando, Tampa, etc. Jersey has ?

I am not trying to claim Jersey is a boring state but you completely misrepresent Florida to build up Jersey.

Edit: Just wanted to add that you will be able to strike NBA team from your list in 1 1/2 years.

From someone that lives in Borelando, LOL. Go to your kiddie theme park and then go back home to your cookie cutter subdivision and super high unemployment.

Orange County, FL unemployment 12.4
Camden County, NJ unemployment 11.2
I can see the drastic difference

Orange County Attractions, Disney, universal Studios, Sea World, etc.
Camden County Attractions, sorry you'll have to help me out with that one.

As a Realtor you should know that metro unemployment rates are what should be viewed especially in dense Northeastern metros, but lets compare.

Philadelphia-Camden-Wilmington: 9.6%

Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford: 12.6%

Sorry Im not 10 years old, those attractions do not appeal to me.

I prefer mature attractions such as museums and the such which can be found in my metro area.

Flarida should have, like, 1 vote, and Joisey should have the rest. Joisey outranks any state in the union, mac.

Besides, in Flarida you can only get a pastrami sandwich as big as your head in Miami. And I'm not sure that you can get a stromboli anywhere.
