Since there are so many great small towns out there, I thought that I would just see what small towns were y'alll's favorites.

Personally, I consider a small town to have under 25,000 people and to have been incorporated before 1950 (to weed out plat 'burbs like Huber Heights by me or Levittown, which is one of the few places that breaks my rule since it was incorporated in the late 1940's). Also, please post why you like the small town that you mentioned.

In my opinion, there are so many that it is really hard to choose, so I won't post my favorites since it would take me an hour or so just to type them all (and I'm a fast typer).

Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania because of it's long history, location and it is home to a decent sized university.

Oxnard has well over a 100,000 people and Denton's around 80,000. I think the person was meaning something a bit smaller.

I like the topic though and am interested in reading more from everyone.

The newest population estimate has Denton, TX over 100,000

This is great idea for a threat. even though Huntington Wva has a city population 52,000 and a metro of 300,000 its my home town that has great history,we are Marshall, mothman prophesies, and classic 200 year old homes to die for, and even though i live in atlanta nothing compares to home.
