ya seriously. Doing something once after winning a world championship does not make it "routinely reported". It makes it reported once.

Haha, yea and I love that he showed a "riot" video, which was actually just a bunch of people celebrating...and that's why we are worse fans. That seriously looks like an awesome time...I wish I had been in the city for that!

You can try to minimize how ugly Boston fans can get but it is not a coincidence that the OP chose Boston and Philadelphia. Part of the reason for the Celtic vs Laker hate is that Boston was basically a "white" team up until the late 1980's while the Los Angeles Lakers have been heavily Black. The racism of Boston fans was quite apparent.

Larry! Larry! Larry! Larry!

You only wish LA had fans with such passion.

And you can try to skirt the fact that you outright lied and have been called on it.

It absolutely isn't a coincidence. Philadelphia and Boston are very well known for having ridiculous fans. Two traditionally powerful cities with tons of pride and devotion to our teams. And yea, we often go way too far with our celebrations or disappointed reactions.

Ah, the classic move by unintelligent people: when all else fails, pull the race card! It's ok man. Just quietly back out of the room, slowly close the door behind you...maybe no one will notice.

The Celtics were the first to have an all African American starting lineup in NBA history. They were also the first team to ever draft an African American player. So much for us being "the white team". (Source)

Not to downplay the fact that we're obviously a bunch of horrible racists here in Boston, but my guess would be that in the 11 seasons from 1958-1969 the Celtics and Lakers met in the NBA Finals 7 times (The Celtics were 7-0 in those meetings). They also met in the 1984, 1985, and 1987 NBA Finals (Lakers being 2-1 in those meetings). Maybe the fact that we've met 11 times total in the NBA Finals is the reason there's a rivalry. Or maybe it's unfounded/incorrect reason that we're the "white" team.

Haha, yea I don't know why there hasn't been any mention of that. I will say that I plan on getting smashed up pretty good tonight for the combination of the B's-Flyers series and Cinco de Mayo.
