Hey Kid,

I admire your confidence in your city, but let's not kid ourselves here. Washington, DC is a Global City and as we speak it is light years beyond Philly as far as progression goes. Yeah, sure Philly is Urban, has great sports teams, and may even feel like a bigger City, but there is just no way in hell that Philly stacks up to Washington in this day in age. Now if you wanna make this a pissing match of these two cities, then by all means do what you gotta do Im just warning you now that chances are Philly would fail tremendously and that's not just my opinion that's a fact. First of all, DC is way more important than Philly and these day's you'd be lucky if you hear someone mention Philly in the same sentence as DC because DC is just that big now. I will always like Philly for what it is, but lets not pretend like it's really killing DC because it's really not. No pun intended BTW.

So being more important means being a better CITY, nice logic. Philly offers more than DC in every category except jobs and economy at this moment, and overall Philly is a better CITY.

Cost of living, food, walkability, sports, diversity, safety (even though they both have some rough areas), skyline, downtown, urbanity, shopping, things to do etc.

You make no sense. It is a fact that DC is more dangerous than Philly. It is also Fact that Philly is more diverse than Dc. DC city proper is tiny and not on the same level of Philly city proper. Philly city proper is over 2 times larger than dc city proper and it has more interesting neighborhoods. Philly is denser, larger and there's way more things to do in Philly than Dc. Philly has way more historic and modern interesting architecture. Center city is clearly superior to downtown DC. Philly is superior to Dc in every category you listed except economy, importance and power.
