As a Charlottean we call our city the Queen city as we are named after a Queen as well as the county it is located in. Cincinnati is also known as the Queen City. So which city is the real Queen City?
Things to consider: history, economy, quality of life, schools, skyline, crime, etc. Let the battle begin!!!!!!!
I knew this thread was coming sooner or later lol. I voted for Charlotte, however Cincy is older and has more beautiful urban neighborhoods hands down. I would MUCH rather take a stroll through Cincy than Charlotte.
Look at the aerial shots of Cincy on post #2 of this thread and you will see what I mean: :Buckeye Photo Thread:
No offense my fellow Charlotteans, but I consider Cincy to be my second home. We will not find a single city block in Charlotte that looks and feels like inner-city Cincy. We just won't. The rowhouses being built in Southend may one day amount to something that is close, but for now we are waaaaaaay behind. Also, Kings Island themepark blows Carowinds away. Even our new coaster coming next year still would not place us on the same level as KI in Cincy.
With the exception of urban neighborhoods and themeparks, every other category goes to Charlotte.
Just curious, which cities are the implied "Kings" to Charlotte and Seattle? For Buffalo, it's NYC, for Cincy I assume it's Cleveland. But Char & Seattle are both the largest in their states.
even though i love the midwest, im going to take Charlotte. Cincy seems to "middle of nowhere" to me and at least Charlotte has a bunch of northeastern transplants
