Honestly though, when you're talking about income disparities CSA's are not the best measure. Places like L.A. and New York each have 17 million+ people so you have to look at it on a more local scale, not over areas that cover thousands of square miles.

I agree. Like LA is way too big and diverse in size and population to blanketly compare to much smaller metros with homogenous demographics.

You should compare by similar towns and neighborhoods. And wth is New Yorks top 1% if the top 5% is 850k....4 million? Too insane for me. What does one do to make that type of money??
