Houston all day long. I don't care for the pac nw culture (granola lib outdoorsy whites and yuppies along with asians) or weather (gray mild and depressing) isolated location to other cities I'm interested in. Houston has come into it's own as a diverse international city.

I agree. Houston is more diverse, international and important than Seattle.
No. As aforementioned, size is only that. Ask your girlfriend how important size is. On 2nd thought
A cities size is very important. If Seattle was the same size as Houston, i'm sure it would be on the same level (maybe higher) of importance as Houston is of a city. But for now it just isn't.
Yes because anyone who's ever been to Houston loves the city. That of course explains why it loses almost every poll here on CD.
Seriously. You have no idea how wrong you are. But hey, you go ahead and cling to that.
The thread is headed with "shopping,economy,future,culture-international" Ok lets look at these things and not go off topic.
Does Seattle beat Houston in shopping no and it's not even debatable
Does Seattle beat Houston in Economics no and it's not even debatable
Does Seattle has more growth than Houston in the future no, it's not even debatable
Again Culture is the only thing thats really subjective
Is Seattle more international than Houston no, it's not even debatable
Seattle is not wining this poll because Seattle beat Houston on the criteria the OP brings up, because Seattle doesn't. But rather because there's a CD bias. The only thing the poll reveal is the Anti Sunbelt, anti south, and Anti Texas crap that exist largely on this site.

What is with people and this 'importance' stuff. It mean absolutely nothing.
