Death Row (WEST COAST - L.A.) VS Bad Boy (EAST COAST - NYC)
Which coast owns the hip hop battle?
Both labels have their heavyweights
DEATH ROW: Tupac, Dre, Snoop
BAD BOY: Biggie. Craig Mack, Diddy, Ma$e
Personally... I'm from NY but I gotta go with Death Row. Tupac, IMO and almost everyone elses, is the best rapper ever.

I don't really care for rap/hip hop that much anymore but back in the day it was definitely Death Row for me. I always thought that Bad Boy crap was cheesy and popish, plus just the name "Bad Boy" sounds cheesy to me. Ma$e looks like he had down syndrome or something and "rapped" like it too.

Death Row......... I mean Bad Boy had the best rapper but the rest were just OK IMO while Death Row was good all around.

I'm from New York City and I choose Death Row. I wasn't into that whole brief East Coast vs West Coast thing to me it was 2 labels going at it because people in NYC were still listening to a whole lot of West Coast rappers (I assume the same can be said for the LA and East Coast rappers). I was a fan of Tupac, Snoop, Dre, Lady of Rage, etc. I do like Biggie and Mase from Bad Boy just as much as the the rappers from Death Row but since Death Row has more rappers that I like it wins IMO.

EXACTLY, Biggie was VERY nice lyrically, but the rest of Bad Boy was ok. Death Row was WAAAY more balanced as far as artist go. Just look at all the FORMER Death Row members of the 90's today:Snoop, Warren G, Dr. Dre, Tupac(even after death), DPG, Nate Dogg. Then look at Bad Boys artist of the 90's today:Biggie(even after death), Craig Mack(hasn't been on the scene in a while), ???????....... Faith Evans(a few good albums I guess). See the difference.

If it was just Pac vs. Biggie I would have to go B.I.G. Buut Dre, Snoop, etc are obviously way better than Mase and whoever else.
