Well San Francisco isn't exactly "hip" when it comes to the cool or popular music scene. Notice that I said the MTV crowd.

Cleveland's on twice, so it must be hip!

Where's Madison, Wisconsin? That gets my vote.

I suppose the original music scene isn't so hot there these days. However, I always thought it was perennially "cool' though. But then what do I know; I've been relegated to the VH1 crowd. lol

Don't worry about it. MTV and VH1 are starting to become one in the same. I swear that channel gets more juvenile every day.

Well, Atlanta is certainly hip 'hop'.

I really like it though!

Default city

I picked Minneapolis, Chicago, and Portland. Chicago is just awesome and MPLS and Portland are laid back underrated cities that have so much to do and great people. Very off the radar.

Austin is hands down the top, followed by;
Minneapolis then
San Francisco.

These three cities have the most hipsters out of any where else in the country.

Cleveland gets on the list twice but New Orleans is not even on here. New Orleans is one of the nation's music hotspots, and host hundred of festivals every year. I chose New York, Nashville, and Other (New Orleans)

Definitely!

I don't trust poll data, though. I rely SOLELY on travel bureau printings to find the TRUE gems. San Diego? Sarasota? Real "cool" cities include Jackson, Michigan; Terre Haute, Indiana; Decatur, Illinois; Sioux City, Iowa. Disclosure: NOT all of these are state publications. Some of them are from municipal business and travel bureaus.
